Next Ikebana class ” The fourth paramita is called Dilligence” will be held on April 19th
The fourth paramita is called Diligence. It relates to energy, vigor, or effort.
In Ikebana, we can understand it as a desire to learn, which helps us familiarize ourselves with many kinds of flowers, shrubs, and trees. We remember plant names and discover their life cycle. We also reflect on how short the life of a flower is. This, in turn, makes us realize how short our lives are. In Buddhist philosophy, attachments and desires are the major causes of our lack of happiness in this “short” life.
This meeting will be online. Just buy some flowers, get a vase, scissors, and an oasis. I will show you an arrangement for Spring. Make an effort and be diligent. See you on Zoom on Saturday, April 19th, between 13:00 and 15:00.
Meeting ID: 915 9918 4890
Passcode: 189456
No registration is necessary
