Aug. 2: Mindfulness through Copying Sutras and Coloring the Buddha’s Image – IBC Bon Gathering 2026
International Buddhist Congregation (IBC) of Rissho Kosei-kai is holding “the IBC Bon Gathering” for English speaking foreign members and friends.
Please join this Gathering to experience copying sutras and coloring the Buddha’s image and transfer the merits to ancestors and friends.
The details are as below.
1) Date and Time: Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, from 1pm to 3pm (followed by Social time/Refreshments)
2) Venue: Fumon Media Center (FMC) 2F#201 2-7-1, Wada, Suginami, Tokyo

3) Program:
- Copying sutras and coloring the Buddha’s image
- Sutra Recitation (English)
- Social Time (Refreshments)
4) No need to bring anything: We will prepare brush pens, coloring pencils, and a copy for sutra recitation. Otasuki, or sashi, is not required. No previous experience is needed. Anyone can enjoy.
5) Attire: Casual clothing is fine.
6) How to take part: Registration is not necessary. However, please let us know by email or phone if you plan to attend so that we can prepare accordingly.
