Ikebana : Cultivating Inner Peace and Harmony – In person
Ikebana is an art of ancient Japanese flower arrangement. It is a meditative practice. By focusing on the careful placement of each stem and blossom, we cultivate mindfulness and a deep connection to nature. The simplicity and balance inherent in Ikebana arrangements reflect the beauty of living in the present moment. As one creates and contemplates these delicate floral compositions, stress and distractions fade away, leaving a sense of tranquility. Ikebana can nurture our inner calm and harmony.

“On 19th october 2024, I had my first ikebana session in japan. At first I thought ikebana is something related to flower arrangement for wedding and some ocassion. After I learnt about it, I realized Ikebana itself have a lot of definition. The number one is, Flower in ikebana itself can be represented element in the world. Under the advice from experienced Ikebana teacher, I learnt how to put flower straightly. Also, we have to put flower to not overlapped with each flower, no vacant position that can be seen in the pot. And mostly, I had so much fun when choosing the colours and what we want to put inside the pot. Beside flowers, we can choose something related to the theme. For example, halloween theme will be yellow and orange. We can put pumpkin, banana, and khaki. So creative arrangement to be learnt in ikebana. We all had so much fun to arrange as many arrangement as possible.
